Cyient Foundation’s Green Commitment: Environment day celebration

Cyient Foundation observed World Environment Day at its Manikonda and Madhapur facilities on June 5, 2025, with comprehensive participation from associates across both locations in this critical environmental initiative.

Aligned with this year’s global theme, ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ the initiative addressed one of the most significant contemporary environmental challenges. Associates engaged in awareness-building activities focused on plastic waste reduction and its environmental implications, while exploring practical strategies for minimizing single-use plastic dependency through enhanced recycling protocols and sustainable alternatives.

To establish enduring environmental impact, associates participated in a strategic tree-planting initiative across both campuses. The program involved planting diverse native and flowering species within designated “Green Zones” to enhance campus biodiversity.

The complementary “Adopt a Plant” program established long-term stewardship commitments, with associates assuming responsibility for plant maintenance throughout the year, thereby fostering individual accountability in environmental conservation efforts.

These initiatives demonstrate Cyient Foundation’s systematic approach to environmental sustainability, extending beyond annual observances to encompass continuous organizational commitment. Through coordinated efforts and sustained stakeholder engagement, the foundation is cultivating an institutional culture that prioritizes environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.
