Cyient Foundation has initiated numerous initiatives in protecting the environment. It started planting trees in 2016 with 5,000 saplings and has steadily increased the number to 16,000 saplings over the years. The Foundation actively engages Cyient Associates and their family members in plantation drives and encourages children from Cyient-adopted schools to plant and nurture trees within their communities. Plantation activities are carried out in and around adopted schools, urban forestry lands, parks, walkways, and footpaths, helping improve green cover, conserve water, mitigate drought conditions, and reduce stress on groundwater resources.

 

Cyient Foundation also conducts environmental awareness programs in collaboration with various NGOs to promote conservation-oriented attitudes and sustainable practices by enhancing knowledge, skills, and action competence. Additionally, rainwater harvesting systems have been established on school rooftops, and solar panels have been installed to generate green energy for school operations. To date, over 61,000 units of excess green energy have been generated and distributed to the community.
