Cyient Foundation’s AI & Future Skills Hub at PM Lanka (Andhra Pradesh) recently delivered a specialized 10-day Drone Technology Training & Certification Programme to Veterans & fresh cadets from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.

As drones become central to India’s surveillance, border security, disaster response, and strategic defense operations, the focus was clear: build hands-on capability where it matters most—in service of the nation.

The programme covered:
Drone assembly and operations
Surveillance use cases
Defence and agricultural applications
Drone Rules 2021 and safety protocols
Practical flying and field operations
Flight controllers, GPS systems, and telemetry

A significant highlight of the initiative is that the trained defense personnel will further extend this knowledge ecosystem by training NCC cadets, thereby creating a multiplier effect in drone technology awareness and future readiness among India’s youth.

The programme concluded with a certification ceremony led by Shri Rahul Kumar Reddy, IAS, Joint Collector, West Godavari District, who appreciated Cyient Foundation’s work in bringing advanced technologies and opportunities to underserved communities.
